About Hannibal Indivisible

Hannibal Indivisible is a community organization in Hannibal, Missouri, made up of local residents working for a better future. We are part of Indivisible, a nationwide movement of everyday people organizing to defend democracy and build a government that works for everyone.

We show up, listen to our neighbors, and take action on the issues that matter most to our community – building local power and advocating for our values at every level of government.

Our Mission

We strengthen community well-being through deep-canvassing conversations rooted in listening and relationship-building, identifying local concerns, building trust, and developing local leadership to create a continuous cycle of advocacy and civic participation.

We also organize and participate in peaceful public demonstrations—including nationwide No KINGS actions to stand against authoritarian and anti-democratic practices while upholding constitutional principles and promoting justice, dignity, and equal treatment for all people living in the United States, including immigrants with lawful protection status.

Our Roots

Indivisible began as the Indivisible Guide, a resource for community organization aimed at mobilizing locals and pressuring elected officials to resist Trump’s agenda: Project 2025. The guide gained immense popularity as millions embraced the name Indivisible, forming their own local Indivisible groups to implement its strategies. These new Indivisible activists united to create a nationwide movement, empowering individuals through collective action, exemplified by Hannibal Indivisible. Our Strategy

Defeating a multi-decade extremist takeover of our government isn’t easy. But we’re here to win—and we have a plan:

We Stand Together

Our opponents rely on divide-and-conquer tactics. We don’t. An attack on one is an attack on all
We show up for each other—especially those most impacted. We believe in a representative democracy for everyone.

We Build Local Leadership

Strong movements start with strong people.
We empower individuals to lead
We support independent, local action
We stay connected through coordinated efforts at the local, state, and national levels

We Work Inside & Outside the System

Change requires pressure from all sides.
Inside: We engage with systems of power to create real policy change
Outside: We organize locally to hold elected officials accountable

We Organize Year-Round

Advocacy and elections go hand in hand.
In off-years: we push for policy wins
In election years: we mobilize voters
Always: we hold leaders accountable—or replace them

Peace Principle

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
